A nicely presented, large collection of well preserved objects from the University of Leipzig Egyptology collection. The information folders are informative for non-specialists though a small summary on or in the cases would also be useful for easier browsing. Good value for money. May not hold the attention of very young children but will be enjoyed with anyone with any kind of interest in ancient Egypt.

An attractive, well laid-out museum, with an extensive collection of artifacts. Well-worth a visit; be particularly certain to budget some time for looking at the artifacts in the depot upstairs. Plan between 75 and 90 minutes.
Nice place
It was amazing to discover how smart the ancient people actually were. They solved complex problems and were able to even document much of their daily lives. The tools were primitive but the people were intelligent.
A well stocked and organized, interesting museum. The building itself was built in the 1920s and is a treat of its own.
It’s a small, but interesting museum and the entrance ticket is only 5 euro, so it’s totally worth the visit.
Small but very good curated museum. Nice building models and a lot of background information. English translations of the displays makes everything better. _
