After my first #xmasmarket in #Osnabruck I could not pass on an opportunity to see one in #Bremen this year. A bit chaotic arrangements of carousels, stands, and tall barrels serving as tables, added to the overall charm of this compact and cosy market. Obligatory nativity scene, stretched by the church wall was an appropriate decorative element. Lots of twinkling lights wherever you looked shone over the crowd. Hand-made craft, own produce, organic, local, fresh and appetizing foods were obviously as attractive element as tasting variety of glühwein. Just like many other Xmas markets across Germany, also this one offers a wonderful way of getting into the Xmas mood of joy... if you're not in a hurry that is. A fair warning: the portions of 'kartoffelpuffer' are HUGE!

The Christmas market of Bremen is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. The market is split into two areas. The medieval market has appropriate food and handicrafts. The sales staff is dressed in medieval clothes giving it the right atmosphere. The main market has the usual bothes that are busy but in the beautiful setting of the historic inner city. Since the market is so extensive the amount of people are distributed and thus it is not to crowded even on the weekends. The Bremen Christmas market is definitely worth to travel to for a day trip.

Good sized Christmas market with an interesting selection of crafts, goods and food. The food seemed a little on the expensive side and was quite repetitive - several stalls owned by the same company offering fish sandwiches or bratwurst was a little bit much though. Would recommend the cheese stall selling lots of varieties of fried cheese or the open BBQs selling pork sandwiches. Trying to find a cold beer was a tricky with most bar stalls selling egg nog or other hot drinks. Worth an evening visit but wouldn't go to Bremen specifically to see it.

Bremen Christmas Market. This is a unique and interesting Christmas market to visit. When I got there before Christmas, this market was very crowded with visitors. There are various booths that sell a variety of foods and drinks. Some booths selling roast pork and roast chicken accompanied by a drink made from a wine called Glühwein are traditionally served at stalls at Christmas markets throughout Germany and Austria to keep people warm when they shop and while eating or hanging out with friends her friend. Even though the air feels cold, you can still buy and taste delicious ice cream, then various sweets or candies made with various forms of caramel, creamer, nougat and so on. In addition, in this market, you can buy various Christmas souvenirs and Christmas gifts.

Great place especially part at the river bank with people wearing clothes from medieval times.
