Great place in Leipzig to find books in English, Italian, Russian, etc. Very large library with lots of children's books, an impressive music section, and plenty of study and reading areas.

Really nice bibliothek. You can come and use the internet. There are plently of quiet place to sit and work or study. The personnel is very nice. You can find extensive children library, you can rent books, board games, the kids can play Wii. The books for kids are divided into age groups so you know what is suitable for your child. There is vending machine available but you may only drink or eat at a destined place. There is magazine section where you find all newest pieces of magazines from all sections: nature and cosmos, computers, feminie magazines, home and décor, economics, history, politics and religion and a lot more. Another great advantage is that you can return your books 24/7 due to special computerized returning system which is located at a door. To open the main door in that purpose you have to have your library card. Moreover there are lockers at the entrance so you can freely lock your belongings and comfortably browse through the library. The only defect is the opening hours which in my opinion are very short. On Saturdays the library I sopen only from 10 am until 4 pm, on Sundays the llibrary is closed. On workdays the library is open until 7pm which in may opinion is still not very long. A small minus for that.
