Not being able to read German made it hard to make sense of all displays. Place looks nice though.
We saw a sign for the Museumsdorf from the main road and thought we would give it a try. We drove quite a while and almost gave up, but are glad that we kept going. It is a very well kept village of old buildings from different places all brought together for us to see. It's very interesting to see how people used to live. Admission is only 5. The entrance building is very clean with proper toilets. Friendly lady at the front desk.
Great rustic day out for the family. Experience something of life in the Lower Saxony region about 100-200 years ago.
Lebendiges, informatives und interessantes Freilichtmuseum in einer landschaftlich wunderschönen Lage. Man fühlt sich tatsächlich zurückversetzt in eine Zeit, in der die Heidebauern, bei widrigen Umstände und in einsam abgelegenen Bauernschaften, für ihr Auskommen sorgen mussten. Auch für Kinder ein anschaulicher Rückblick in die Geschichte des bäuerlichen Lebens.
