Hinterberg is an awesome ruin. It has a classic water well as well as a tower that looks over an amazing scene of town, meandering river, 2 other castles and lovely hills and fields. We visited in autumn and it was an amazing mix of yellows and reds. I really enjoyed it. My only problem is that it was very dirty, there was trash everywhere it doesn't seem to be kept at all. The stairs up to the top of the tower are also very dark so take a torch or use the one on your phone.

awesome castle with breathtaking views on Neckar river and Dilsberg. easy hike to get, entrance for free. other worth to look castles are nearby. highly recommended!
A very nice short walk from the village, Neckarsteinach. It also has great views of the village and the river.
