I have a pleasant experience with this office. The office has sent me the good conduct certificate the next day they receive the request. The letter took 15 days to reach USA from Germany. It would have been better if they have tracking info for the mail (even if we have to pay additionally).

I am writing review for 2 things: 1) Getting Führungzuegnis for people living abroad: It took me 15 days after they received my application to get the Führungzuegnis. I exactly followed the guidelines written in the application form i.e. to have the signature verified by notary/German embassy/foreign authority, to pay 13 euros and add the payment slip with the document. I additionally sent a notarized copy of my identity card. They tool 8 days to process my application. 2) Regarding there telephone service: Many people here have written that they did not received response from the office. My experience was rather opposite. I called on the office hours (Tuesday, Thursday 09:00 to 12:00). The office staff was very helpful and responded to all my queries appropriately. An important point to note is that I only know very elementary German. The official on phone went out of her comfort zone to reply me in English and I am very glad for that.

I have no idea what these people (in reviews) are talking about. I literally had my Führungszeugnis in 3-5 MINUTES!!! I don't write any reviews normally, but I had to because really I don't get those bad reviews.

I'm waiting now 3 month for a reply despite having done everything to the book. Deutsche Ordnung does not exist there...
