The workers were very polite and helpful. They allowed me to take my time and choose individual truffles for a mixed bag. Very great experience!

Conclusion : Highly recommend I tasted & purchased chocolate from several known countries globally, this one is really special offering wide collection hand made authentic chocolate with and without alcohol for affordable prices as well, I would highly recommend the Jelly (vegetarian) and the Marmelade which is very special as well. The lady was cooperative and patient with me; yes she has a serious look :) but you can't blame her: she is an authentic Deutsche Frau. Once I am back to Esslingen (hopefully soon); a second visit is a must. L.G.

I love Esslingen. I will never go in this shop again. Rude. I rarely give bad reviews but I don’t like being treated like a criminal. They made me feel like I was wrong for just walking in. I tried a total of three times. Twice, they were rude. Once, a young lady was nice to us but we literally walked in, grabbed and paid since I feel uncomfortable in this shop; but, children love candy so I felt obligated to take them. I realize this is a gem for locals but I didn’t have a magical Willy Wonka time here. I adore this town. I love people and making friends. I can turn off my “American” and get along with stoic folks. This experience wasn’t that. I’m Hispanic, I look ethnic and being in this shop- I was very aware of that. Do with that info what you will. It was my experience and I trust my instincts.
