Very sad how dirty it was. The beach was very dirty (the sand with garbage) and sadly the wind brought some green-blue algae (cyanobacteria) it looked terrible. Not sure if it is only the heat / warm weather or if the lake is really contaminated. Very sad for such a beautiful place.

a clean stretch of sandy beach with views across to Schwerin. Swimming possible though water temp can be cool. cycle route there and asking the Strand. lots of benches in shade of trees for hour days. cafe/snack bar with bratwurst and chips etc. also a restaurant and public toilets. lifeguards on duty most afternoons in Summer season
