We enjoyed a wonderful day last year at the ancient Roman City of Trier Roman Baths and Ancient Roman Entrance into Trier, and then here, the Basilica of Constantine also known as the Aula Palatina. It is a Roman Palace and Basilica that was commissioned by the emperor Constantine I at the beginning of the 4th century. Ancient Roman ruins are also here to tour and are quite amazing. And was very entertaining to sit in the nearby stands and watch the modern day Gladiators practice fighting each other.

The church was close when we visited so I really couldn't say much aside from the fact that it is quite interesting architecture for a church. Never miss the nearby garden. Perfect for waking, picnic, or a quick rest on the benches after a long walk around the city.
Nice Dom with calm and well maintain park nearby. Must see attraction in Trier.
Very big and amazing space. Free entrance.
It may not take more than a few minutes to 'see' it! However this is an architectural shocker! It is so large (32m x 61m and 36m tall) but doesn't have a single pillar in it!!! This is the largest building without columns, surviving since 300 CE Roman Era! Don't miss the holes in the wall - these were drilled to fit marbles all over the wall when it was the Contantin's Throne room. Also don't miss the little left-over fresco on the window sill from outside!
