This hidden corner of Japan is one of Berlin best kept secrets when it comes to ice cream. Tenzan Lab is the best place to enjoy the freshly shaved ice wish a wide range of flavors, most of which are also available vegan. They also offer home made waffles wish sweet or savory fillings. Make sure to order at least one before your table neighbors get delivered theirs, they get served fresh from the oven and they smell amazing! We also tried the castella which I personally found nothing special compared to the rest we had. Due to Covid and the nice season they mostly have seats outside which only add to the experience. In the weekend make sure to arrive before 16 to seat right away, after that the queue may get quite long.
Amazing dessert place, the Taiyakis are all very delicious and the variety is great too! The Kakigori is worth the trip to Berlin and anyone coming here must try this amazing dessert place. The staff is friendly and very helpful
I was lucky to grab one of the bento boxes, that Tenzan Lab is currently offering, topped with takiyaki sweet and savoury takiyaki and mochi. Everything was absolutely delicious, the salmon flakes were perfect, every bit of the bento was nicely seasoned. I loved the texture of the takiyaki and mochis. It was such a treat! The owner was very friendly, which added to the great experience.
Amazing place. Simple but very very tasty japanese food. Made with love and passion. At the moment they have a bit limited choice but even these options they have now make you come back again and again to try them all!
