Beautiful place, well-made road, nice place to relax outdoors, close to restaurants and a more difficult entrance before the finish line

What a view! Within one hour driving from Munich, you end up in a complete new world. Literally breathtaking (if you consider the long hiking you have to do when you want to reach the top :-))

Nice place to visit with the mountains, the castles and the lake

There is an amazing hike from the car park at the bottom of the cable car that takes you past Neuschwanstein Castle, up to Queen Mary’s Bridge for views of the castle. Going further up the peak, there are beautiful views of Alpsee lake. The trail at some points has fallen trees and a few rocks that are awkward to pass, so be prepared to climb over (or under) one or two fallen trees! There is a pub serving food at the top by the cable car. Cable car costs approx 14. When you get down there’s a toboggan for 4,50.

Amazing view from the top. I used first tegelberbahn and then did a hike to the top.

I didn’t go skiing but the place looked good, ample parking space, skiing section for kids and beginners, and cable car to get up the mountain. Price for cable car is 23/person round trip and 15/person one way. They said there is a restaurant and cafe up the mountain.

Love it, this hiking trail it's just beautiful... It might be a bit challenging if you are not prepared or fit for the task ( about 3h hiking) but it's definitely worth it. The view it's magnificent and with a nice weather it's perfect for a breath of fresh air. There's also a fine restaurant at the middle of the journey for a small rest and once on the top you might just enjoy the beauty of nature or might want to continue another 3h and reach the Neuschwanstein castle by foot. It took us 7h in total, and we're exhausted at the end... But it was a perfect trip.
