I reserved a small SUV (range rover sport) and prepaid online. As we arrived the lady at the counter told me that they were no more cars in my category left and that she has never really seen a range rover at this location. I am still giving a good review because the overall experience was good. The lady was extremely friendly and helpful and it was obviously not her fault that there were no more cars available in my category. She also didn't try to talk me into all sorts of instances I don't need (like other rental car places sometimes try doing) and accepted the insurance through my credit card right away. So we ended up \upgrading\ to a BMW x2. Around 80,- were added to my bill for the so called upgrade. The car was almost brand new and (sadly) drove like any other new car. The new BMW's kinda lost that BMW feeling. But that's something for a another review. I returned the car refueled and with no dents or scratches. A couple days later I received the final bill and everything looked good to me. My advice would be to inform customers who prepaid online that this basically doesn't mean anything. I thought if I prepay online that a car in my selected category would at least be reserved for me. But overall my experience was a good one and I would probably rent again from them.

Excellent service. I had booked Avis but when I arrived to Munich airport the desk was closed despite knowing that I was arriving at 10pm. Sixth desk extremely helpful in assisting with a car rental - The front desk very pleasant. I got an excellent car and half the price with an excellent service.

It was very simple and easy to book and collect, no wait times when I arrived at the airport in Munich. The car was really nice and we got a free upgrade that helped us to fit all our luggage which was very helpful. Staff spoke English which was a plus.

Booked the car for a 3 week rental, 5 mins into the journey a message appeared saying minimal oil please top up. Called sixt several times, first automated service said waiting time was 45 sec before getting through but 10 minutes later I was still not connected, finally got through on my third attempt. I was told to take the car to a garage and get it filled up and pay for it and email the invoice to sixt. I will always maintain my own car but I should never have to go out of my way and alter my trip to maintain a rental car. All fluids should be checked before a rental car is released.
