Everything we ordered was so tasty and the service was also very friendly. I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of the steak with chanterelles because I was so exited to eat it. You should also try the house-made Lorbeer liqueur. Highly recommend!

I find the idea of local organic ingredients always great. The taste was good, but not spectacular, that’s why only 4 stars. I had the grill 5 course menu. The meat was really tender and delicious, however the vegetarian plate, I found, was a bit better. The desert, cherry parfait, was the best part of the meal. Overall, if your interested in eating local ingredients with a German flair, definitely try Lorbeer!
Food is good but we sadly won’t we back as the female server was so rude last time, my husband refuses to go back. It’s a pity because they have some other super nice people working there. But older lady was super rude :-(. To the Lorbeer owner it was for sure your place. This was our fourth time there and we were pretty sad about the experience.
Ate there last week. We both had the steak. It was chewy. Disappointed but not the end of the world. It happens. Sauce was great as was the beer. But the service. Super abrupt waitress. Left us sitting for ages after telling us how busy she was. Fair enough to be busy but then she spent ages talking at other tables leaving us bored and thirsty waiting for any kind of service. Offered us a dessert wine to end our meal... as if a gratuity.. then charged us for it. We do not have the wrong place. Steak and mushroom sauce. We live 200m away and previously ate there every week for the last month. Your boutique style beer is awesome and our previous experiences lovely. If we returned you'd remember us. But we probably won't. Too much choice in the area to be treated as an annoyance or people to be ignored. A pity. We eat and drink up a storm and tip well - even that night. Seems its a locals only wanted here place. We r local but not german so we are 2nd class.
A nice cozy restaurant, bit on the pricey side with a rather small menu. We tried the spaetzle (German pasta) with cheese and a big green salad with chicken, along with 3 dressings to choose from. Both starters were great. For main courses, we tried the wiener schnitzel and the duck. The latter was juicy, tasty and overall a great dish. I can't say the same about the former one. Portions are good, you won't leave hungry.
