Beautiful and massive palace holding significant historical artifacts. One of the popular tourist attractions in Munich and definitely worth a visit. The palace gardens (Hofgarten) is also pretty good and well maintained.

Beautiful museum of lot of things to see and enjoy. Must do when in Munich
Well worth the visit! They have such unique sculptures and other works of art from around the world. We went around noon, so we missed the crowds and it was wonderful having some of the halls completely to ourselves. We didn't opt for any guides or anything, so we were able to peruse the whole place in a few hours. Taking a star off since we tried to visit a previous day and was shouted down by the ticket reception, saying that we couldn't visit because there was only 2.5 hours left until closing. We had said we didn't mind, since we didn't plan on getting guides, but she told us to come back another day. We chalked it up to her being very adamant that we needed a lot of time in the museum, but we were a little turned off by her attitude. Note: Visited prior to COVID; things may have changed.
One of best Palace museum in Germany I visited. Treasury impressive as well. Right in centre of Munich convenient for walk from Central railway station.
You can spend easily a couple of hours in the Residenzmuseum (entrance 9/adult) not to mention that there are more museums next door as the coin museum and the theater museum. So it is perfect for rainy days. At the Residenz you can enjoy the beautiful architectur by Cuvellie and Klenze and others. A few paintings, furnitures, porcelain and more in the context of history. The ticket includes a multi-language audio-guide. Opening hours as on the ticket. Unfortunately, there are no Sunday museum tickets for 1 as many Art Museums in Munich offer.
