We visited this lovely Austrian restaurant in Hamburg two days ago. It proved to be a very good choice with the decor, food and service all proving to be excellent. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with lots of unique personality. The waitress was very attentive and helpful and together we overcame any language challenges. The schnitzels were definitely worth travelling for, both the wiener and mushroom schnitzels were substantial and very tasty. Unfortunately we were too full to try the Kaiserschmarrn but instead we shared a very fine apple strudel. Would very much recommend this restaurant

A pretty good place for Austrian food. The staff is very friendly and it seems like a family owned restaurant. The meals have more than enough food and taste great. It can be hard to get by here if you only speak English.
Nice atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. As far as I can judge quite an authentic Austrian menu. So if you are up to a positive cultural shock in the \Komponistenviertel\ neighbourhood this is a good pick.
Authentic austrian food in a rustic restaurant. Try the Wiener Schnitzel, the Kas Spatzen, whatever... It's all very nice! But don't forget to have Salzburger Nockerln AND Kaiserschmarrn afterwards... If there in a group, they do portions to share... Don't miss out on this! Service is very friendly and welcoming. Oh, and don't forget the Schnaps afterwards...
***Stay away*** this place sent us away due to overbooking on 4/15/2017 inspite of a confirmed reservation booked via the restaurant's webpage. The reason give was that the owner had no time to check online for reservations made... Instead, we were told in a very rude an harsh manner to reserve via the phone next time (which we had tried to do several times before resorting to the online booking as the indicated reservation hotline was left unanswered). There was no slight attempt of an appology. Instead, the conversation with the two ladies running the place left us feel guilty that we had used the wrong approach to try reserve our meal with them. Not recommended....
