Called in May to get a new rear tire and tube. They said if I brought my bike by noon, they could take it. When I got there, I was told they normally make repair appointments only on Fridays, and then there's a line out the door. But they made an exception. Both my wheels needed to be straightened, and my front stem / steering assembly was lose. They didn't have time to repair address all issues, and only took on the stem because they deemed it a safety issue. I asked if I could get a wider tire to replace the punctured one in the rear, but they stated it wouldn't fit. They said it would be ready in a week. When I returned one week later, they had lost the work order (paper only) and nothing had been done. They promised to turn it around by the next day, which they did. They straightened the rear wheel, installed a new tire & tube, and tightened the steering assembly. A few weeks ago, I punctured my front wheel, and decided to repair it myself, so I had to really get acquainted with tire sizes. It's then that I realized they had replaced my rear tire with a narrower tire. It was 32-622, they put on a 28-622. I was able to fit a 37-622 in the front easily, and it looks like I could fit 40-622 on both wheels. Now I have a very narrow Schwalbe Marathon Plus tire in the rear, which lasts forever, even though I specifically asked for a wider one.
This bike shop has a great team and they know what they're doing. Perhaps, specialized in MTB and Race bikes for sale and repair, but they handle every kind of bike. They also offer great advice for diy-repair and options. Price range regular.
