There is a impressive Marian Column in the centre of Marienplatz that is worth seeing when spending time in Freising. This monument was erected around 1674. It is similar to the Marien Column in the Old Town of Munich, which may have served as a model for this particular monument. Here you find a single marble column topped by a figure of St. Mary. At the bottom of the column are four saintly figures. The monument plinth includes attractive reliefs as well. Overall, this is a nice column monument that is worth a few minutes to enjoy when sightseeing in the area.

Nice place.
Beautiful place
Being my first time going to Munich, I asked for recommendations as to where to shop apart from the city centre and this place was recommended. Lovely quiet little town with a few surprises. Typical Bavarian style architecture and cobblestone roads. I loved going round and taking pictures I almost forgot to shop!
Very helpful, the address that I gave him was to a construction site but he help me find the correct location and ensured my safety. Many heartfelt thanks!!!
