A holy and in the same time very beautiful church in Oberstadt of Marburg. At religious days, it will be played here and you can always get in and take a look inside or say prayer. It is also a very popular tourist attraction for the people who are visiting the Oberstadt. It would be actually a perfect path to put visiting this beautiful structure on your plan, if you have the intention to visit the castle on top of Marburg. In the front yard of the church there are benches to sit and also you would have a unique view of the whole Marburg.

I truly hate to say something negative about a much loved building but I did not love the interior. The fake mortar lines are probably the most eccentric feature, confusing the upward sweep of the arches, but there are other ways in which the 60s reordering fails to live up to the promise of the impressive exterior. Visit for its stunning location.

One of the few churches I like to visit from time to time for attending the \Stunde der Orgel\, every Saturday between 18 and 19 o'clock. The organ music always relaxes and regenerates the nerves and the mind. Highly recommended for organ music lovers! Other concerts are also taking place in the church.
