We stumbled across this lovely little place while doing a walking tour of Wurzburg that called out the nearby shipping crane landmark (erected in 1773, for the historically inclined). As we walked along the promenade there - lo and behold! - there's a small boat seemingly permanently docked and operating as a restaurant, right on the river. It sports no more than a dozen small tables arranged between the foredeck and stern, with the bridge as the kitchen/cashier. Friendly staff serve up fish and chips using locally caught catfish, pike and perch from the Main River. Condiments are self-serve (I recommend trying the Curry Mango sauce to add some pizazz) and the drink selection is good. On a hot day, after a long hike around town, it was great to just sit back and watch the world float by while munching and drinking radlers. So great, in fact, that we went back the next day to do it again!

Zum ersten Mal da. Gleich sehr gut mit Chefin und ihrem Bruder verstanden. Die zwei Mann in der Küche kochen gut. Meine Frau aß nur eine Kleinigkeit. Pommes. Sagte mit die besten Pommes die ich gegessen habe. Habe das gleich an die Küche weiter gegeben. Danke an den Mann mit Hut. Wir kommen morgen wieder
Exzellente Örtlichkeit zum Entspannen. Alles passt! Hervorragende Fischspeisen - gute und gekühlte Getränke und freundliches Personal. Die Aussicht auf die Festung und das Käppele sind schon tagsüber einzigartig; die beleuchteten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in der Nacht die Krönung vom Main-Kutter aus bei einem trockenem Schoppen. Absolut zu Empfehlen! Die besten Pommes würzburgs - und dazu echt günstig! Das Personal is auf zack und absolut zuvorkommend. Die Aussicht ist phänomenal egal ob tagsüber oder bei nacht ein geniales Ambiente. In der Dämmerung kann man Fledermäuse über dem main beim jagen beobachten. Der wein und das bier sind gut und günstig tolle Location. Die Musik ist leise und hält sich im hintergrund das man sich schön Unterhalten kann
