A canteen type atmosphere. Food did not look fresh and wasn't all that cheap so we had only a beer. This was reasonably priced and OK.

Brilliant food and service at very competitive prices. Great location and view from beer garden. Just below TV tower.
This place seems to have been here for as long as I can remember, even long before the wall fell. It is a portrait of what a “Fertiges” (hearty) meal, one using traditional German recipes is, and it’s offered cafeteria style by “broads who don’t take any guff”, and who don’t make cappuccino (thank heavens). Owing too, to the vintage of the building, It is also gives one an excellent feeling of east German taste on buildings meant for everyday public use. What will be has always been, I suppose.
This place is the Fawlty Towers of Berlin, where the amusingly unpleasant owner screeches at people who've committed the heinous crime of not taking their glass back to the counter and manages to offend both tourists and locals alike. Highly recommended for that alone: the beer is passable, the food is criminal. Seriously though, don't forget your glass...
The schnitzel was bland and tasted burnt and it was way over priced. The pizza was soggy and undercooked and also over priced. It's a trap for tourists. The service was awful. They were rude.
not so friendly staffs but delicious food.
Me and my friend got food poisoned after eating their currywurst plate, which afterwards isn't that surprising since all the food was pre made and stored in open canteens. The food didn't taste that good either, and we are certainly no gourmets. In addition, the waiter and the waitress were rude, both when taking the order and serving at the table. The only positive thing about this place was the disco lamp in the ceiling.
Wonderful food at decent prices
