A nice little museum (actually bigger than it looks from the outside). The exhibition contains photos and items from different periods of history - e.g., it was nice to get to know a little about the Olympics of 1972 in Kiel. There are some model ships and marine paintings. I'd recommend to visit it - the entrance is free, but there's an option of donation or you can buy postcards or books.

There isn't much to do in Kiel other than a couple of old churches and shopping so make sure you stop by this museum. Free to enter but donations are welcomed. Gives a glimpse into Kiels rich connection to the sea and maritime traditions. It was the fish market when it was first built in the early 1900s. Across the waterway is an active navy base.
Fantastic view of the harbour, and cruise ships moving in and out. You could watch the same sipping beer at the restaurant at Maritime Museum.
Very cool and stylish
Exposition was dedicated to sailors mutiny of 1918. Very special. But there a few midels of kaiser's ships: SMS Undine is really great mode.
