Good for kids
No wheelchair-accessible entrance
You have to go to the tourism office and ask for the key first. You get 45 minutes to explore the tower on your own. There are extensive steps and they get rather steep, almost like a ladder, as you get up top. I can't wait to bring my kids. They will love it!!

Nice place. Worth a visit
The cutest little town which makes you feel like you're straight out of a fairy tale book.
The cilindrical 42 Meter high Hexenturm, is a city symbol for the Stadt Idstein, but also a memory of the victims of the 17th century sexist witch hunt...
Idstein is in general a lovely place very whimsical and you have a feeling that you are in a fairy tale. This tower is a great statement to that! Which it is available for tourists to come inside! When I was there it looked like that is not practiced at all but maybe it was a matter of season. Non of the less it is a great place to visit!
