Impressive historical building, we arrived at about 1830 and by 2000 the place started to fill up. The service was good, a little slow and I would rate the food as 4 out of 5. Main plates average at 15 euro as do the salads.

Really great food. Had the seasonal pumpkin soup. Wow! Fantastically good. Everything we had there was great. A hidden gem, by the Mainz Hilton. Almost literally across the street. Not too be missed. Heiliggeist is a very pleasant restaurant you can find in Mainz. Quality of service and food are exceptional making your time spent here simply amazing. Long story short, try it out and you won't regret :)
Nice atmosphere and really nice restaurant. Food was good, excellent service. They had a menu in English which helped me a lot.
Nice place when not crowdy. Menu is good, but forget the risotto... it is not fine.
It is a cool place to have dinner because of the interior mystical lighting atmosphere promoting a kind of romantic feeling for it. For such a hot summertime, we choose to sit in the beer garden . We order Rhabarber juice, Vesper teller and Trio- combo strawberry to be our lunch and dessert. Light and fresh taste, we enjoy it!
Beautiful place. The special restaurant in the special place for the special occasion. Located in medieval church in the super-duper center of Mainz. Great wine selection, super tasty food, extra huge portions. Prices a bit higher, but definitely worth it. Cons: maybe quite loud inside.
Always a pleasure and a must visit when stay in Mainz...great food and excellent service...
