The more I see it, the more I love this striking, and well-maintained, example of postwar urban renewal architecture. Hbf Braunschweig, celebrating its 60th birthday this year (2020), stands proudly at the head of a sweeping six-lane inner city clearway, itself designed for an age when the car was king. Tramlines run along the central reservation; cycle lanes are a later afterthought. The station's frontage shaped in a single huge rectangular slab with repeating geometric patterns, has a brutalism that is both assertively uncompromising and beautiful. The large modernist clock is especially fine. The adjoining tram and bus station's curved roof, a later addition, is a happy softening gesture that manages to enhance, rather than compromise, the strength of the original concept. I have also included here some shots of the residential area directly adjacent to the station with its attractive mixture of old and new. The one misfire round here (not pictured) is a small somewhat dingy lo-rise mall, which survives rather than thrives.

Normal train station, if your looking for a tourist attraction there's not much to see besides the look at the "old" building in front of the main entrance. There's a Burger King/McDonald's and some other possibilities to get some food or Coffee. Note the long time parking lot at the entrance at the end of the station. There's also a DB info. All in all a normal train station.

Very, very dirty tain station. Garbage everywhere, people throw their cigarette butts on the ground. Trashcans are right next to them. Restroom cost money. You get a voucher, but not all stores at the train station accept it. Probably the cleanest place of the whole train station.

Great improve on the train station, train personnel are very friendly and helpful and also suffient parking available. Even so you are earlier there you have enough to eat and even shop for the train journey to the airport.

It is not a very good tourist attraction Also when its cold its not good to stay here because there are not any heaters in the inside region. But you can good food here in Burger King or Mc Donalds till 12 and stay better there while waiting rather than at Hauptbahnof
