While it's very difficult in Europe to find Indonesian cuisine outside of Holland, I'm glad to have found this very authentic and tasty place. Huge selection of dishes with just the right adjustment to please the German palate. For example, I feel that the chef goes a bit easier on the use of shrimp paste, making the sambals less pungent than in some places in Indonesia. I will definitely come back.

Authentic Indonesian cuisine, that should say it all. They don't pull punches with the level of spiciness here, so just beware of that in case you aren't able to handle real heat. My personal favorite is always the fried fish with sambal, rice and a side of mixed vegetables.
The bakso is nice. But the fried noodle is tasteless. And the portion is big!

Of all the restaurants I have visited in Hamburg and irrespective of the cuisine, I would rate it as the best so far. Even literally remembering the dishes brings water to my mouth. I can visit this place over and over again. There is no one dish I could single out. Each and every dish is unique but if one has to not miss out on something then I would say the peanut sauce chicken skwers. They are fantastic but you have to enjoy every dish. They are worth each and every penny. Enjoy!
