It was simply not a nice place. First time I was there 5:40 pm (it supposed to be open until 7 pm) they rejected because there would not be enough time to make the egister of first-time donation\ before it closes. I made an appointment for next day 10 am. I arrived there, but the doctors didn't. So I had to wait until 11:30 am to get to chat with the doctor. Inside, the atmosphere to me was of discrimination. The first reason mentioned to not accept me was that my visa was to expire in less than 1 year. Detail: I have been living in Germany for more than 3 years and they always gave me 1-year visas because of working contract. Following that, some other excuses pretty discriminative. I could not donate blood, which not only prevented me to help someone but also left the impression of my blood was just not good enough for that. I really hope next potential donors have a better experience.

Staff seem lovely but although I wanted to donate blood (for free) I couldn't because there were no forms in English and no-one to translate for me to understand the cuestionare! So there's one donation less that could've helped other people

First the smiling \doctor\ said that because I am not born in Germany, although living for many years, I am different from locals and, unlike them, I must bring proofs for hepatitis A, B, C and HIV tests. When it was done, they still did not want to take papers making predictions on what sicknesses I might or might not have. So they started demanding more and more papers just because of being racists. Most importantly they scanned my passport without any permission on this and they will surely make a photo of you. They refused to delete the data on demand, when the German law actually gives the right to you and imposes no demand on them to keep the data, if no commercial or other deals were arranged, which were not in my case, due to me refusing donating after all these humiliations.

Staff is friendly but the machines aren't the newest ones and they still need to draw blood to check your haemoglobin count.

War jetzt einmal zum Blutspenden und einmal zum Blutplasma spenden. Beide mal sehr freundlich und alles erklärt.Vom Empfang bis zu den Ärzten und den Schwestern.

Ich hatte heute gemeinsam mit meinem Freund einen ersten Termin zur Blutspende. Deutsch ist nicht die Muttersprache meines Freundes und er hat manchmal noch Schwierigkeiten beim Verstehen von med. Fachbegriffen und Amtssprache sowie beim Ausfüllen von Formularen. Aufgrund von Corona sollte ich meine Formulare an einem anderen Platz als er ausfüllen, obwohl wir in einem Haushalt wohnen. Mir wurde verwehrt, ihm beim Ausfüllen zu helfen. Mir wurde gesagt, wer das nicht selbst könne, würde bei ihnen kein Blut spenden können. Ich finde das sehr diskriminierend, Ausländern gegenüber, und bin sofort wieder gegangen. Dort werde ich nicht mehr hingehen.

Obwohl ich telefonisch einen Termin vereinbart hatte, musste ich 50 Minuten warten, bis ich aufgerufen wurde. Insgesamt war ich für eine Vollblutspende etwas mehr als 1,5 Stunden vor Ort, leider nicht das erste Mal. Es sollte doch möglich sein, die Abläufe besser zu organisieren.
