I had the chance to see the performance of a guide that in the thrilling atmosphere of Liebig's time lecture hall performed a series of chemistry tricks. A wonder! If you are interested in science and it history, this place can't be missed. Labs, equipments, atmosphere are just amazing.
As a chemistry student I enjoyed every bit of the museum. I do really recommend getting a guide. It's very important to set Liebigs accomplishments into the right stage. I wasn't really aware now important he was for the field of chemistry until I was there. If you are interested in the science of chemistry, or biology you should visit.
Great opportunity to learn about the history of Chemistry
One of the finest scientists who ever lived. Just one fact illustrates this. Among his students, and his students’ students, who became equally able scientists, chemists, pharmacists, 42 Nobel Prizes were awarded. If he was alive when Nobel Prizes were first announced, he would be a recipient of at least three! For Organic Chemistry, for Experimental chemistry and study of importance of Micronutrients in Plant physiological. Surely worth a visit!
This place gives a very good impression how university education was in former times. Also it is pointed out, how scientific advances were commercialized in that time. Interesting is also, that not only the scientific success is shown, but also defeat because of wrong scientific assumptions.
Friendly receptionist! Nice setting! Good feeling
Mir gefällt das Museum immer super. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.
