Best salad I ever had. I am gluten free and they went out of their way to make sure we had something safe. We spoke no German but the waiter we had did great.

Great food and drink and fantastic service. Stumbled across the Saxenhammer while motorbike touring this summer and it was our favourite night of the whole trip. We were made to feel very at home and had a great time seeing all the locals enjoy the common room of the Saxenhammer!

Für mich ein absoluter Geheimtipp, dieses Ambiente findet man nicht mehr oft in Bayern. Das Essen finde ich sensationell. Auch größere Gruppen sind dort gut aufgehoben. Sind immer wieder gerne dort zu Gast.
Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war extrem lange. Gäste, die nach uns kamen, erhielten das Essen vor uns. Wir waren nicht zur Haupt-Mittagszeit, sondern erst um 13:45. Die Portionsgrösse sollte nach oben korrigiert werden. Ich habe mir mehr versprochen und gehe da nicht mehr hin.
Sehr sympathisch! Und einen köstlichen Honig und Eier von freilaufenden Hühnern kann man sich da auch kaufen.
