It is a huge shopping mall. It is said that you do not have a price tag on the displayed items. In other words, if you like it, you buy it irrespective of the price attached to the items. It was a really nice to visit the all most every major brands in the world at one place in Paris.

Good place to walk in and do some shopping for clothing and accessories. Feels a bit tiny for such a store but it is probably the way you would in any store in the center of the big city. Interesting architecture of the building with the well like structured center of the rounded space.

Wonderful place to buy luxurious presents and admire the view of Paris from the view point on the 5th floor.

Good food, good wines. What else ?

Big cupola in the middle of the main store, show piece reminding of the glass dome at the Paris branch, forms center piece of surrounding indoor boutiques, hats, scarves, bags and jewellery on main floor, food and drink one floor down, brand stores down in the corridor. Interesting for some exploration and window shopping, take away food selection mediocre at best. Pricey. Still, nice visit.

I usually go there for gifts to non French friends and family. They always have a good choice of sweets, chocolate and more! You can also buy macarons if you feel like it ;) the staff is super nice and you most probably will find a lot of nice French goods to enjoy!

If I ever feel home sick, I’m sure to be satisfied and to find the best French food all around the city

Enter the Lafayette and you step into France. Take the escalator downstairs and have a dozen oysters at the excellent seafood bar. Instant gratification guaranteed, and rewarding like a trip to a French beach. And while I have not met Macron at the Lafayette, Angela Merkel stops by all the time for some sushi and baguette.
