The LASIK operation a few years back was a complete success and I'm very satisfied with that and the service afterwards. Despite having an appointment be prepared to wait a long time. After 40 minutes of sitting in the waiting room silently I asked if they'd maybe forgotten about my arrival. Which they claimed they hadn't and I was called up a few minutes after. This happened on a few of my visits. However, since I know it's like this I'll always schedule an appointment here as my last one of the day and bring some entertainment with me. The couches in the waiting room are super comfortable, nothing like the horrible chairs you find in other practices. On the visits I experienced I was ushered through a few rooms for exams on various machines, then back to the waiting room until the doctor was available. Depending on how many patients are around you may be using one machine while another person is using a different one across the room. It has a bit of an assembly line feel to it, but looks very efficient (you should think that kind of efficiency translates into less waiting time for the patients - as noted above that doesn't seem to be the case, though). Does the doctor recommend superfluous exams? No idea, I'm not a doctor. I have paid for some exams she recc'd that the insurance wouldn't cover, but every time I didn't want to have an exam I told her so and it was fine. The staff seems quite stressed at times, but were always super friendly to me, explained everything I asked about and tried to accommodate my wishes when it came to making appointments. But the main reason I'm giving the star count above is the LASIK operation. I gained a great deal of happiness from getting rid of the glasses I'd worn for so many years. If not everything is perfect when it comes to general appoinments in this practice it's of minor priority to me as the most important service I came for was done well. (Note: I'm not privately insured.)

Ich bin seit mehr als 35 Jahren in Behandlung bei Frau Dr. Handzel. Stets wurde ich sehr professionell von Frau Dr. Handzel und ihrem Team untersucht und behandelt. Einer der Höhepunkte war sicherlich die erfolgreiche Laserbehandlung im Oktober 2010. Seit diesem Eingriff trage ich keine Brille mehr und verdanke Frau Dr. Handzel ein völlig neues Lebensgefühl. Bei Kontrollbesuchen treffe ich stets auf ein sehr freundliches Team und fühle mich bei Frau Dr. Handzel in den besten Händen. Das Hygienekonzept in der Praxis finde ich sehr durchdacht und effektiv. Aufgrund meiner sehr guten Erfahrungen kann ich jederzeit die Praxis von Frau Dr. Handzel weiterempfehlen.
