Unfortunately they do not seem well versed in Double Taxation Agreements (or taxation topics) for non-EU or non-US based countries. For DTA relevant income / expenses, they also do not capture the information correctly to avoid Double Taxation. Their English is acceptable, however having your own knowledge and understanding of German tax laws, the German tax system and any relevant Double Taxation Agreements is a good idea to correct mistakes and take additional tax deductible amounts into consideration which in some cases they do not consider. I had them do 5 years of my income tax returns, therefore it is not a comment for a once off service.
