Good god, this place is as old school as it gets. I had no ideas such places still exist nowadays, it's like time travelling to the 80s or even earlier. There didn't seem to be a single concession to the 21st century in the old fashioned dining room. Most patrons seemed way over 70, and the place was packed for lunch. The food and wine is 100% local Franconian. The sausages are excellent, good house white, too. The roasted pork was a bit bland, but I suppose they're worried about their main clientele's blood pressure. Unfortunately, they were out of Schäufele, which is the ultimate Franconian food, I bet it would have been good here

Gutbürgerliches Lokal mit sehr guter Hausmannskost. Das Schäufele mit Knödel und Blaukraut ist ein Gedicht. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis super, Personal super freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Auf jeden Fall ein sehr guter Anlaufpunkt bei einem Besuch in Dinkelsbühl. Macht weiter so und bleibt gesund. Und eure Corona-Schutzmaßnahmen sind nicht nur praktisch und gelungen, sie sind super durchdacht.
Típico restaurante alemán, con comida tradicional de la región. Servicio rápido y amable (lo que no es generalizado en el país, ni mucho menos). La ciudad es encantadora, medieval e históricamente un lugar relevante en la Guerra de los Treinta Años, tan decisiva para la historia europea. La he visitado ya cuatro veces, de camino entre Franken y el sur de Bayern. La masa turística se queda en Rottenburg, ignorando Dinkelsbühl. Allá ellos y perfecto para quienes prefieren deleitarse con la arquitectura medieval y renacentista sin que te pisen.
Einladendes Ambiente, freundliches, schwungvolles Personal mit Witz und dazu hervorragende regionale Küche - mehr braucht es nicht. Die leider derzeit notwendigen Corona-Schutzmaßnahmen sind gut durchdacht und fallen kaum auf. Das Restaurant in zentraler Lage direkt am großen Platz vor der Kirche ist gut zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
