The ‘Fat Angel’ offers hearty German cuisine. I tried the cheese spaetzle which came with a side of refreshing salad and absolutely loved it. Reservations are recommended. Staff are wonderful. ))

the 'fat angel' is a restaurant in the 'bermuda triangle' of moabit. hearty homestyle cuisine is what they are known for. we ate the mango-chili soup which i recommend everyone to give it a try it's so damn tasty. the sausage of the 'berlin currywurst' was a bit cold :( but the 2 'schnitzels' the side dishes were tasty
Delicious traditional German food :) Big portion, fair price, cozy atmosphere.
Great food! My first schnitzel. The fried potatoes were just like my mom made. If this was my first day in Europe, I would think the service was slow. I have come to accept that a meal is a longer activity in Europe than it is in the USA. The staff was super friendly and helpful even though we didn't speak the same language. You don't have to know the words to know when someone is asking if you want dessert.
Wonderful local food from a great staff. Reasonable price and large portions. Seemed to be a place the locals frequent - that's the sort of place I want to go!
