Café Eckstern is a café that also serves as the hub and gathering space for the neighborhood, offering a true glimpse into Berlin life. Their coffees are great, and they also serve hardy breakfasts, which was a lifesaver when I first moved into the neighborhood and didn't have a kitchen set up yet.

Small inconspicuous cafe with a small indoor seating area, but it has a bigger outdoor seating area instead. I tried their vegan carrot lemon nut apple cake and it was delicious!! This gluten free and milk alternative free fruit bomb was mainly zingy and nutty in its taste. Would definitely recommend as it surprised me with it’s unique fruity taste!! My partner tried their banana bread and it was a bit dry, but still delicious. Staff was friendly, a bit snooty, but very helpful with the ingredients. Thumbs up!! Would go there again to try their other cakes.
