This was like taking a step back in time for my wife and I. You see castles in the movies and now all the sudden you’re walking in one. They used to ride horses up the Cobblestone entryway. And the view of the city below was superb. We loved it

Today we visited this castle and it was a very interesting tour. You can only visit within a tour with a guide that takes around 50 minutes. Unfortunately there is only one time where you can get an English tour. The castle is sitting high up, so you have a beautiful view over the Rhine river and the area around. It was never destroyed so while exploring you get to see many original rooms, items and furniture. Our guide explained a lot about the history and was very friendly. It was exciting to learn more about the life in a castle and how the people lived in general hundreds of years ago. The only thing that would have been nice to have was a bit more of information signs where you can read more about everything yourself added to what the tour guide was explaining. If you like to see well preserved history then a visit is definitely worth it!

Beautiful medieval castle at the top of the Rhein valley. Very well preserved and with a nice herb garden surrounding it. The guided tours were good and the castle very impressive. Worth a visit.

When you go there you get a tour of about an hour in an amazing little fort. It is authentic, you get some information about life in a fort in history and of course information about the fort itself. Also someone still lives there which I thought was pretty cool!

An amazing castle that has been preserved to show how it looked and functioned. This is the only castle along this part of the Rhine that was not damaged during the war.....
