Cool well-known restaurant for the poshy part of Berlin. Friendly staff and good food. Also good cleanliness. Food a bit too over priced in my opinion but the target can afford it anyway.

Great birthday celebration! Delicious traditional food
Dined at Borchardt with my wife and adult kids - I was told that it’s a place to spot the stars and wealthy in Berlin.......but who cares.....I wouldn’t be able to spot them anyway . The sad thing is when the waiters become self absorbed because of the restaurant status as a hot spot for seeing the stars - it has clearly rubbed off on the way they treat their “normal” customers: when we showed up without a table reservation we were told that we could only have a table for 1,5 hour - when we left 1,5 hour later the restaurant was not even close to be filled. Further, when paying our bill the waiter at our table was clearly dissatisfied with our tipping as he was shaking his head leaving with our payment. Looking back - will I ever revisit, no way! You can easily find a restaurant in Berlin with better schnitzels, better beers AND friendly service.
Very hyped place ! Quality of food is good but not wow. Lighting is equivalent to a morgue Service slightly arrogant If you look like a tourist or someone who doesn’t fit into the “borchardt” crowd, you’ll be seated at the windows / entrance of the restaurant. Middle and back right corner are only for the cool people ;)
Nice place, a bit fancy, the service was excellent, however the food wasn't great. I ordered a steak tartare and was not impressed, also I found it unusual to be paired with chilly. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more effort on the food presentation as well as quality of the ingredients. I would recommend this place to my friends and would come back myself.
