In-store shopping
the most pleasant experience with the store, which is opened even now being a spiritual Tankstelle. recommended!

If you want a record store that is passionate about supporting independent artists, zine culture and experimental music it's a must visit. Probably the best collection of ambient, noise and experimental music I've seen in one place. The owner was super helpful with an exchange I wanted and ended up with some may unsubscribe I wouldn't have been exposed to otherwise. Unfortunately the sauna wasn't in service the day I visited.
Fun people, awesome music!!
They ripped us off. They lost our products, that they had previously agreed in having at their shop. After one year trying to get either our money or material back, the disrespectful french woman at the shop called us aggressive and disrespectful, trying to silence us by recurring to racist stereotypes. Hypocrite people that are feeding on true struggles from individuals and groups in order to pass an image of supporters of the underground... what a joke. I'm available to talk about this with anyone willing to know more about the story.
Staalplaat used to be run by people very connected with diy scene and independent art. Lately the shop has passed to new hands and the move couldn't be more disastrous. They are ripping off artists who go after them to promote their art. Staalplaat is now being manage by a disrespectful, dishonest and racist French woman, who doesn't pay the artists they make deals with. I see a lot of reviews from customers but none from the artists that make this shop still alive, most of the time offering their art to someone who will never pay for it. I would avoid it at any cost.
