Thsi place is piled high, the old fashioned way, and in a way the staff always seem to be able to find what you're asking for. I needed fountain pen stuff that they seemed (improbably) to have of every kind, and in spades. All of which was good... what they DID have, but I'm interested in telling you a feature of the new Berlin that it didn't have: repellant pretentiousness and *customers* who look down on you of the place south of it near Uhlandstrasse.

Die Konkurrenz ist wohl nicht groß genug. Unfreundlich und wenn man nach den Preisen fragt (da nicht etikettiert) wird min komisch angeguckt... und doch im Regen stehen gelassen.

Früher kam ich gerne hier her. Das Sortiment war umfasst und die Beratung gut. Das hat sich leider im Laufe des letzten Jahres geändert. Artikel, die immer vorrangig waren, sind dem Personal nicht einmal mehr bekannt und es muss sofort der Katalog gecheckt werden. Von Kompetenz keine Spur mehr. Da shoppe ich doch lieber im Internet :-(
