Really great food and venue so I must give 3 stars. But otherwise while our server had a lot of humor (nice) there was quite a lot of time that passed before he took our order and later forgot a drink. We also had some jackets with us that no one offered to hang up so we just left them on the ground/floor the whole meal. At the end of the meal we were informed by the waiter that a tip was not included in the meal and asked if we wanted to add one. I felt so uncomfortable in the moment (how do you say “no thank you?”) so I added one. Later I confirmed online that the menu stated “service charge is included”. As a number of my German friends have eaten here before and never been informed of the “extra service charge” we felt like we were a target because of our American accent. I have lived in Europe 3 years now and never been asked before paying if I wish to add a tip/service charge. I did communicate with the management later about this and they happily offered a refund of the service charge (though it took 3 months to receive the refund I hope I can just attribute that to Covid). Management did inform me that the “service charge included” was a mistake in the English menu which still surprises me as I’ve never been to any other restaurant in Europe where it isn’t. So be prepared to pay a (of course always optional) service charge if you aren’t German. I appreciate that management refunded us the charge but I would not feel great returning here.

Best Japanese and sushi place in Baden-Baden and all the vicinity. Fresh products, nice selection, great place!
Very stylish place and awesome sushi! If you visit Baden-Baden and love Japanese cuisine you definitely need to come here!
I was staying here in the hotel and trying to get over my jet lag. I found that miso soup helped my upset stomach. It was nice that they had room service to bring this up to my room and I could access the full menu of the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was extensive. There was something for everyone and I was able to order an omelette from the chef. You could even make your own mimosas or screwdrivers if you wanted. For dinner you could either order the international meal menu or their Japanese menu. Because I was here for two weeks I got to try a lot of their menu and it was all good and tasty. Even if you are not staying at the hotel this is a good restaurant to try.
We warmly recommend! High quality food that you must try. Cool atmosphere and happy staff.
