Paul Hahn

I have been lifting weights and going to the gym relatively seriously for the past 7 years and I have never had a more pleasant gym experience than at the Athletenschmiede. The gym has some fantastic equipment (dumbbells, ergometers, and even truck tires to name a few), and is uniquely laid out with plenty of squat racks and deadlift platforms that cater to performance athletes, strength athletes, and crossfitters alike. The versatility of the gym is only outdone by the passion and knowledge with which Paul, the owner and trainer of Athletenschmiede, structures workouts for his clients. As a classical powerlifter, I was at first apprehensive about trying more crossfit-inspired workouts, but Paul listened to my concerns and came up with workouts that showed me how to become a better strength athlete in ways that were innovative and completely different from anything I was previously used to. This originality and versatility of the gym, along with Paul’s fantastic energy and passion for the sport make going to the Athletenschmiede an extremely rewarding and fun experience. I’ll definitely be back for round two!

I joined the Athletenschmiede about a year ago. I myself got "dragged" here by a coworker and I can honestly say that it's changed my life and I would never want to go back :) By now I have visited several CrossFit "boxes" in Frankfurt, Mainz, in Spain, Cyprus or Iceland and I still think that Athletenschmiede is my favourite of them all. The reason why is that here you have the combination of a very well equipped gym (e.g. other boxes in bigger cities had a very limited amount of rowers or no ski ergs at all, which limits the classes or choices of work outs) combined with an amazing and, most importantly, very competent coach, who is truly dedicated to his work and goes above and beyond for his "customers". I sincerely recommend this gym to anyone who wants to make a change in their life, wants to discover their limits safely guided by a professional or who's just curious about this whole "CrossFit hype" :) Be aware to leave behind age, gender and ego when you come here.

Die Atmosphäre ist einmalig! Paul, der Inhaber, geht individuell auf dein Level ein - er fordert dich, überfordert aber niemals. Ich hätte zuvor nicht gedacht, dass das meine "Art" von Sport ist. Jetzt will ich es nicht mehr missen. Ansonsten sind die Leute super entspannt. Auch deshalb komme ich immer wieder gerne.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Ich habe mich direkt gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Ich bin in die AS gekommen, vor allem mit dem Ziel, meine Technik zu verbessern. Direkt im ersten Training konnte ich schon sehr viel mitnehmen und hatte immer das Gefühl, dass man meine Ausführung im Blick hat und korrigiert. TOP :-)
