the service used to be very good, competent and great people, however they seem to have some new people working there who in my opinion don't give a good nor fast customer service

Even though they couldn’t help me on my kodachrome k40, the receptionist went ahead to find me other places that can provide the service. Will come back!

When you go here, stick to it, because it feels like you might be in the wrong place. You have to go up a few flights of stairs and ring a bell. But once inside you will find one of the best places anywhere for film processing/digitizing. I get all my super 8 Film done here. Professional and reliable. Get it there by Thursday (the cut off day) and it will be done by Friday (the next day)!

The last film laboratory in Berlin. Andec is known for its speciality on 8 mm. The facility print or scan, 8, super8, 16 and 35mm

All of my experiences with this place have been terrible. I ordered film which took 7 days to be sent out instead of the 1 day that I had been told over the phone just before ordering. I was only informed of this after I needed it. They tack on a bunch of extra charges so 30m of 16mm Color Negative ends up being over 70, even when it's supposedly 49 VAT included. A few months later I sent some 16mm B&W material for processing, printing and digital transfer. Unfortunately the footage was so severely overexposed and completely unusable- my fault, specifically with my equipment that I was using. Andec didn't bother to tell me that is was trash and that the negative was so dense that even timing it at 50 across couldn't yield a decent print, while there were very obvious signs of total overexposure and streaking from shutter malfunction. I had spoken with them several times throughout the order and they had plenty of opportunities to tell me. Instead of alerting me and letting me know of possible equipment failure they went on to charge me an additional 250 for now unnecessary services and quietly mentioned that it was a little overexposed (?!) after I had already paid. They also charge to give you back your daylight spools (?!?!). They will not respond to my attempts to contact them. These are dishonest people doing shoddy work and only care about money and not actually providing a quality service to their clients. Tons of other bad reviews out there, just look. It's really unfortunate that of the film labs that have managed to survive, quite a few are often of the lowest quality. Avoid at all costs. The transfer is done by a separate business in the same building, Andec 'handles' the transaction for you and pockets extra money on top of it. The transfers are of good quality and I can recommend those, but reach out directly to that business. You'll spend a lot less dealing with that company and not Andec.
