The Sanctuary is situated upon a hill providing not only a captivatingly elegant cathedral and grounds, but an beautiful elevated view of Amberg, and a very lovely old forest on the opposite side of the parking lot in which to walk and contemplate.

The restaurant is always a great place to go and have a meal or coffee with a dessert. On Sunday they serve a duck entree that is amazing. It is best to make reservations on the weekend. You will need to go soon as the place is going to close due to some contract issue with the church. A great place for a view and visit the church and surrounding area. Highly recommended.

This is a typical german restaurant with a great view when you sit on the patio. We went there today just to have the duck bit we got there too late and it was sold out, darn... we had a wonderful Leberködel soup and then the Sauferle which is a special kind of pork roast and it was absolutely delicious!! The service is nice, a little slow when there are busy but no complaints. You have to try thos place, all their dishes are wonderful!!!
