Good place to go a little bit back in time and enjoy a beer and some schnapps in the old country atmosphere of Weinhausen. Don't mind the old men playing SKAT, they are friendly.
We stayed in Wienhausen during Hannover Messe this past spring and enjoyed dinner on a couple nights at Klosterwirt Wienhausen. What a wonderful restaurant with fun staff that while we couldn't speak the same language, we all understood the language of great food and beer! I was concerned about staying so far away from the show but as it turned out, we looked forward to coming \home\ to our Wienhusen friends in the evening! And the less than 1 hour commute was nothing when you live in Chicago!

Wir saßen gemütlich und entspannt ganz für uns alleine in einem extra Raum. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufgeregt. Sehr schöne Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Das Essen war lecker. Preis - Leistung geht absolut in Ordnung.
Also ich bin des öfteren in der Region um ein paar schöne Tage zu verleben. Wenn ich allerdings gut, lecker und zu vernünftigen Preisen essen gehe, fahre ich lieber die Strecke direkt nach Celle und gehe in die dortigen Lokalitäten. Das war nichts beim Klosterwirt. 1 mal und nicht wieder.
