Canoeing is great. Location is great, allowing to swim in the cold Diemel river. Camping ground is a bit unorganised and sanitary facilities need definitely an upgrade.
this place reaches 5 stars within its category of \Hostel\ Yes you will sleep in hay, but it's surprisingly warm and decently comfortable! there is a breakfast buffet that is pretty good, containing cereals breads jams cheese hams juices coffee and hard boiled eggs, the latter I've heard from several classmates as being boiled to perfection. Our host was super friendly and encouraged us to take any left over food for our exploration of Kassel since other wise it would go to waste (nobody ever told us this in our history of hostels) in the late hours there was good cheap beer and a fire pit, showers where okay, but second day it was super cold. the toilets where kinda a mess with no toiletpaper and one with a burned out lightbulb.
