On our way back from a trip with the Schwarzwaldbahn our navigation let us drive through Heimbach. There one of us saw this restaurant. We checked it on google and decided to go there. Little did we know that we were going to have a fantastic evening. We walked in without a reservation (we advice everybody to do this) and got the last table with a quiet spot for our Rottweiler. The restaurant is run by two brothers (and family & staff) with passion for people, food & beverage and simply a heart for quality instead of quantity. Food was in one word FABULOUS and we made reservations for next Friday, but maybe we will go back sooner. To you all at the Schlosscafe we say, stay this way, keep doing this and being an \hotelier\ myself I can even become emotional at the inside and outside seeing this much devotion to my own line of work. The service is amazing and so incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and a variation of regional cuisine with international specials or twists on them. Decorations are also absolutely fantastic. A true gem!
Excellent spot for a cafe and a lovely dessert on the relaxing terrace.
