Great sauna to visit in the lovely wee town of Tegernsee, especially on a cold March day. Booked a massage a few days in advance to ensure that I would get in and found the overall experience (as a Scot) to be quite enlightening. Good range of saunas, steam room, a jacuzzi and outdoor pool to make use of. Fairly reasonably priced too. Would definitely visit again.

Due to the current situation.... Every business is adpating and trying to get the best between security for their customers and improving customer experience. Except Monte Mare -Tegernsee! You have to wait for more than 40 minutes between both entrance doors with 7 other people or outside in the rain ( still not covered... ) The staff cannot tell you how long you have to wait before the next entrance possibility because there is no reservation and people who have booked a 4 hours ticket can stay longer. As result you cannnot ever know when you will be sble to get in. It might even take you a full day for a 2 hours sauna experience. To be fair I came in summer and everything was ok but in winter you definitely have to improve your system! We came from Munich with the BOB and we will definitely never come back unless you change your system. 1. Cover the waiting queue for the winter! 2. Less than 7 people in you entrance doors 3. Change your reservation system with a slot time to make sure people who are coming can enter the spa! 4. Remove the online tickets: they are useless because they don't provide any flexibility and you can't guarantee that the customer is entering the sauna. They just bring confusion.
Very impressed, immaculate facilities, really good acoustics (it does not get noisy even when its busy) and the staff are super friendly. highly recommended. great choice of saunas, best I have seen so far. Thumbs up all around!
Always stop by when I am visiting my mother and looking forward to it every single time: best relaxation you can get after a long flight. Go early or really late to avoid waiting times. The views and the ice cold lake in the winter are contributing to this unique experience.
