Prior to the formation of TDI, Jim served as Vice President and General Manager of the International Division of a leading U.S. defense contractor, DRS Technologies, based in Stuttgart, Germany. Prior to that, he was the Director of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Europe. At both organizations, he developed leading-edge Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Information Technology (IT) capabilities to provide solutions and new engineering approaches for major defense challenges. At SPAWAR Europe, he grew C4ISR/IT Programs from $500K and four employees to over $75M and 200 employees in six years. At DRS, he grew his business unit from himself only to over 400 employees and over $130M in annual revenue. Jim also served as a Communications Officer for the U.S. Army Reserves for 21 years. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Clemson University.
