Extensive menu, nice South African wines. Decor keeps with the theme, a few seats outside on the pavement. Lovely wait staff. Food was very nice and they catered to my friend’s dietary restrictions. Recommend and will visit again, also plan to try their other restaurant Madagascar at Marienplatz.

I was not ever in a African restaurant before so I cannot say if the food Afriacan style reliable but the food is tasty. The meat is juicy and tender, the service is fast and concerning drinks has a wide variety. Ah and when you read in the menu \Scharf\ (spicy) they are not lieing. I really recommend it to have a new experience.

The decoration immerses you into an African atmosphere. The menu is quite extensive; from meat and fish-based plates to all sorts of vegetarian options. I was surprised that they also had meat from crocodile, camel and zebra. Didn’t wanted to try for personal reasons but what I ordered was quite good. It was the chef’s recommendation with meat, banana, eggplant, zucchini and bell peppers. I finished it all!! The wine from South Africa was also good. Im giving it 4 stars just because the dish was just slightly salty for my taste, but is still totally recommendable. Would come back anytime! :)

Worth the trip! I would eat here again. There are so many options and combinations of meals you cannot do them all in one sitting! They spent the time to get the decor and the food right. There are three sections of the restaurant 1) “normal” inside seating 2) outside seating 3) authentic seating. The authentic seating is when there is a dirt floor. It sounds bizarre but it is really cool, there is even a section where you sit on pillows on the floor. Bring your sense of adventure, an empty stomach, and cash (because they didn’t take cards) and enjoy yourself. They have North, East, and West African dishes. You can request Injera bread, couscous, and a few other options included with your meal. I had the Guava Beer and enjoyed it, my wife had the Mango beer but would not recommend it. Note: onions are a part of cooking, if you have an onion aversion, let them know so they can recommend something that will leave you happy. BoB

I never really had anything African before, so I’m not sure how it’s supposed to taste. But I definitely liked what I got, the flavours were great and everything was excellent. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 for the cash only. I know Germany isn’t the greatest in terms of card payments.. but it’s still 2020 and in my opinion not acceptable when card payment isn’t possible.. luckily I had enough cash
