I have been using this place many times but the service lately dramatically worsen. The office was actually closed- I arrived 1 hour earlier. I waited outside with my luggage. The \manager\ (or whoever is running this place) could be a little better organized. He started searching my paperwork placing and receiving multiple phone calls at the same time. His search continued for quite some time while having piles of other papers and car keys on the top of his desk.3 or more people observed this \circus\. I was given a car with a child safety sit which was difficult to remove and he asked if I take it like this. I refused and than he removed it.The guy was not also dressed properly/professionally. I would say that I will take my bussines elsewhere from now on.

I'm renting 15 or more cars per year with Avis worldwide with variing experiences - however, this has been the best so far due to: - Excellent customer orientation and friendliness (I got picked up at the train station before my booking) - Competent station management (helped me to get a specific car that I wanted to rent) Looking forward to my next rental at Avis Singen
Terrible! NEVER AGAIN AVIS . Couple weeks after I returned the car, they charged me over 400EUR for the insurance. I always decline insurance as I use the AMEX insurance during the pick up of the car. Stay away from the Avis Singen – so many other good places to rent cars from.
Nobody present during normal work hours. Only a piece of paper with a telephone number that no one answered. Drove on to Sixt, fantastic service there...
Truly terrible experience with Avis in Germany. First of all they have hired us a car with no coolant that has quickly broken down. This has been followed by hours worth of phone calls to various offices across Germany, none of whom are willing to supply a replacement car or help us get back on the road. Currently parked up in Singen who have no cars available. Two nearest offices also do not have cars, nor do they have an emergency back up for situations like ours. Nobody willing to take our problem on, so we're having to work it out ourselves and buy the necessary items to repair the hire car - at least long enough to get us back to Munich where we initially hired from. Costing us a significant sum of money above rental agreement to do this. No offer of compensation thus far. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
I attempted to rent a truck there and received a confirmation email. I showed up at the confirmed appointment time and the building was empty. I attempted to call the hotline number on the door but was unable to reach anyone. I waited 30 mins in the parking lot before leaving. On my way home I got a phone call and was told they were booked out and had no truck for me and that they tried to call me several times for the past three days. That never happened I never had a missed call or a voice mail. I can only recommend you go to another agency and book yourself and not through ADAC.
