We had the honor of staying at AtHome Guesthouse Bart during our military relocation from Germany to California and we were absolutely blown away by the jaw-dropping property, complimentary automatic car, first-class shuttle service to Ramstein Air Base, and the over the top/personalized customer service that Bart provided to us during our stay. If you or your family are planning to visit the Tri-Border Region of Geilenkirchen NATO, AB Germany or have finished your military/contracted service in the region and will be leaving, be sure to check his property out. We were lucky to spend 17 lovely nights at his guesthouse with our family pet Roxy who was greeted with open arms. We highly recommend him and this luxurious property!

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, it wasn't hard to choose to stay at the guest house at Selfkant. From booking to the completion of the stay it was a seamless and an exceptional experience. Travel is stressful. Now with Covid-19 more than ever. Needless to say, the convenience of a personal chauffeur pick up service from the airport to the guest house was a great start! Once we arrived at the guest house, Mr. Hendrix welcomed us and gave us a tour of the chic guest house equipped with various amenities like heated floors, electric black out blinds, play station, TV(Netflix), fully functioning kitchen, and a car to drive for the entire duration of the stay! I was feeling tired from the long journey so it was a pleasant surprise to find out that the refrigerator was already stocked with groceries. Mr. Hendrix even offered to pick up & deliver food from restaurants and grocery shop for us during our quarantine. He went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable to feel just like at home. He was always readily available for questions, and very helpful consistently through out the entire stay. Thank you for exceeding our expectations each time. I am so happy to have stayed at this amazing guest house!

I was drawn to Guesthouse At Home because of all of the pictures that showed a modern and comfortable looking place where my wife and I could get adjusted after our long journey here. But what wasn't reflected in the pictures and in all the data on the website was what a wonderful host Bart was for us. Not only did Bart ensure that we had a ride from the airport to our guest house (during a pandemic). He also had the fridge stocked with food and a bit of alcohol for when we arrived! Bart did everything from grabbing us takeout meals and groceries to helping us with our first parking ticket . He bridged the language barrier with the locals for us on countless occasions. He even helped me purchase a car from a local! I can not overstate how helpful Bart was to help us make the jump into the European lifestyle. The place is awesome, Bart is amazing, you've found your Guest House.

We chose this place for two reasons; the photos show that the guest house is modern, and the pets were allowed. What can I say? The 44 days we stayed there, due to the military dislocation, were excellent. First, our arrival was delayed by two weeks, and Mr. Hendrix was flexible to work with us and move our reservation. He also picked us up from the airport, did the necessary shopping for our cat, and did grocery shopping before our arrival. So when we arrived, everything was already prepared for our comfortable stay. Besides, Bart gets us some carry out food when we were in quarantine. The place itself is excellent, modern, spotless, and there is a feeling that no one lived there before you. Also, huge TV for Netflix lovers, great internet, cable TV, and a comfortable atmosphere helped us feel at home from the first days. We were also provided with a car, which was very helpful, and every week our temporary home was cleaned to a shine. The forest near turned out to be a great bonus; we had a fantastic walk there several times. There are also various grocery stores within a three-minute drive, and a pizzeria across the street and a bakery made our evenings more delicious. Mr. Hendrix has done an incredible job of helping us get comfortable. Bart told us where to find the best food in the city, an excellent place to shop, and shared the local cultural features.

My month and a half stay at Guesthouse at Home was better than I even imagined. Not only was the apartment itself pristine, Bart’s welcoming hospitality made the place feel like home. With the countless miles of walking trails behind the property and every possible amenity you can imagine, it was hard to move out as I wanted to stay forever! I can’t speak highly enough of my experience here and would recommend Guesthouse at Home to anyone and everyone needing a place to stay.

Absolutely first class accommodations and service! I highly recommend this for anyone looking for temporary lodging in this area. I stayed 3 weeks...14 days of which were in quarantine after having just arrived in country. As you can see from the posted pictures, the newly-renovated apartment is very modern, luxurious, and comfortable. The AC, which is rare in most houses here, was a huge bonus during an unseasonably warm week where the temps were in the 90's! Bart and Sarah are amazing hosts and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home, and they're genuine in their desire to help you transition into this area. I couldn't have asked for better hosts, especially during a time when relocating overseas is especially stressful.
